Car bomb explodes at Madrid Airport Saturday, December 30th, 2006

ETA logoA car bomb has exploded in the car park of Barajas Airport in Madrid. One person is currently missing. A warning was phoned into police about 45 minutes before the explosion, and the incident has reportedly been claimed by the Basque separatist movement ETA. A cease-fire has been in place for the last 9 months, and if this is the work of ETA, obviously marks a violation of this.

Typhoon Utor has passed over the Philippines and now looks set to head across to either Vietnam or China, albeit at a reduced strength.
