Time for a coup in Thailand
We’ve seen it brewing for the last six months or so in the form of massive protests, but CNN is now reporting rumors suggesting a coup to overthrow Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra is about to take place. PM Shinawatra is currently out of the country to address the UN General Assembly in New York.
Update: A blogger from The Stalwart is tracking the situation, and has suggested Dr. Sumeth Tantivechakul will soon assume power.
