East Timor PM finally quits Monday, June 26th, 2006

East Timor Timor Leste Flag East Timor Prime Minister Alkatiri has finally quit the post after weeks of mounting pressure. Unfortunatly his reluctance to resign led to the resignation of Nobel Peace Prize winner Jose Ramos Horta over the weekend.

US Airstrike kills al-Zarqawi Thursday, June 8th, 2006

In a joint press conference held today by the Iraqi Prime Minister, and the US Ambassador to Iraq it has been announced that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has been killed.

Al zarqawiOfficial statements claim that intelligence and a tip-off led to and air strike in an area North of Baqubah, with coalition forces identifying the body through fingerprint, facial recognition and known scars.
