The quake struck at 22:54UTC on the 26th, with the USGS measuring it to have a magnitude of 6.2 at a depth of 17.1km. Official government figures put the death toll at over 2000, but expect it to rise. Many homes have been destroyed. Click ‘more’ for resources.
